Abstract
Abstract 1,217,398. Treating water. INSTITUT FUR WASSERWIRTSCHAFT. 1 April, 1968, No. 15607/68. Heading C1C. Water to be treated passes through distributer channel 2, where a foaming agent can be added, to the surge tank 1. Here the additives may react and the water becomes quiescent before passing into flotation cell 4 by aperture 3a with the sediments sliding over the sloping surface into the flotation tank. Water fed in with air through grid 12 is clarified and removed through 8 while floated solids are removed through 14. Water discharged at 8 may be aerated and recirculated.
