Abstract 1,179,595. Safety ski bindings. H. MARKER. 5 May, 1967 [6 May, 1966; 27 Sept., 1966], No. 20950/67. Heading A6D. A retaining device for use with safety ski bindings to prevent loss of the ski in the event of release of the binding comprises a retaining cable secured at one end to the ski and at the other end to a coupling member which engages automatically with a coupling member on the ski boot as the boot is inserted into the binding, and a release mechanism for the interengaged coupling members.
