A packaging machine of the type in which a flexible tube of packaging material is drawn over a feed tube through which the commodity to be packaged is fed into said flexible tube, has vertically reciprocating sealing jaws 6, 7 mounted on a working head 2 and is characterized in that the working head is adjustably attached to a lifting column 1, for example by a bolt 70, so that the sealing jaws can be rotated through a range of 360 degrees.
