Abstract
Abstract The invention concerns an apparatus for the fitting and removal of a hub (1) on an axle shaft (2). In order to provide the capability of simple fitting and removal, the apparatus has a screw (7) in a hole in the axle shaft's end surface, which drives a piston (5) in the hub in order to displace the gripping surfaces of a conical grip-device (3-4) when fitting, and mainly by means of a screw (14) in a hole in the piston (5), which pushes against the axle shaft's end surface; this screw (14) can be fixed in the hub and displace it relative to the axle shaft for removal.<IMAGE>
