Arrangement for continuous monitoring of the relative change in length of an elongated rolled band
Abstract
Abstract Arrangement for continuous monitoring of the planarity of an elongated band comprises at least two optical measuring elements placed approximately in line in the transverse direction of the band, designed for continuous detection of the planarity of the band, and signal processing circuits for processing of signals arriving from the measuring elements. The signal processing circuits contain, for each one of the measuring elements, in series, a high-pass filter 22, a first low-pass filter 23, a quadrature circuit 24, a second low-pass filter 25 and an output circuit 26, and they are arranged to transform signals of form A.sinwx + B into control signals with a form containing a factor A<2>. A modified embodiment contains, between the high-pass filter 22 and the quadrature circuit 24, a combination of low-pass filter 23' and a band-pass filter 23", dimensioned so that the control signals receive a form containing the factor A<2> and a factor w<2>. <IMAGE>
