Abstract
Abstract The loading and unloading mechanism for freight containers on lorries incorporates a driven hoist engaging with the container to tilt it and allow pushing onto the lorry on which the mechanism is mounted. A guide (15,17,16,19) for the container (7) tilts on the lorry (2) to follow the container movements, having a supporting surface sufficient to sustain and transport it. During loading it is driven to move the container onto the lorry.
