Abstract

Abstract The sailing board or the like is provided with straps etc., e.g. to serve as foot holds, and/or as carrying handle when secured to the side. Each strap has at least one end secured to the board by this end being clamped between a wall of the wedge cavity in the board and a self-locking wedge member. The respective cross-sections of this wall and the member may be circular, or one may be circular whilst the other is polygonal. The wedge cavity may be formed by the inner wall of a bush. The bush and the member may be in plastic and the strap may be PVC reinforced by polyester fabric.
