Production of superconducting material
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting material turning into superconductive state at >=77 deg.K, by prebaking and pulverizing a powdery mixture of two components among three specific kinds of element components, mixing the obtained powder with the remaining component and forming and baking the obtained mixed powder. CONSTITUTION:The objective superconducting material is produced by (1) prebaking a powdery mixture composed mainly of two components among the following three components consisting of (A1) the 1st component composed of Y and one or more elements selected from Sc, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu, (A2) the 2nd component composed of Ba element and (A3) the 3rd component composed of one or more elements selected from Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Fe, Pd, Ag and Cd, at a temperature lower than the baking temperature, (2) pulverizing the prebaked mixture, (3) mixing with powder composed mainly of the remaining component, (4) forming the obtained mixture and (5) baking the molded article in an oxidative atmosphere at 950-1,200 deg.C in such a manner as to form a sintered material having K2NiF4 structure including monoclinic crystal and composed of the components A1, A2 and A3 of formulas and oxygen component.
