Superconductor wiring structure and formation thereof
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a secular deterioration free, highly reliable wiring of superconductor by covering a superconductive layer of a ceramic type formed on a substrate with a glass layer consisting of a basic oxide. CONSTITUTION:A wiring pattern 7 is made by screen printing on a substrate 1 using a paste 3 wherein powder of a superconductive material consisting of a composite oxide of one of Sc, Y, La oxides and Cu, and carbonate powder of an alkali earth metal and a vehicle consisting of ethyl cellulose and butyl carbinol acetate are mixed. The wiring pattern is covered by a paste 5 containing Bi2O3 after being heated and dried, and is finally made into one consisting of a superconductor covered with a glass layer 9 which contains a basic oxide after being dried and baked. According to the constitution, the wiring pattern 7 is covered with the glass layer 9, and this allows the wiring pattern to be nonreactive with moisture or CO2 and therefore to present a secularly stable superconductive characteristic. The substrate 1 includes yttria stabilized zirconia and high purity alumina.
