Organic solvent battery
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To surely retain the contact between the contents of a battery to the final stage of discharge to keep good high rate discharge performance by using a nonwoven fabric made of solvent resistant resin, which is formed in a semi-film state by rolling to decrease its porosity, as an electrolyte retainer in an organic solvent battery in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are stacked through the electrolyte retainer. CONSTITUTION:An electrolyte retainer 3 is placed on a disk-like positive electrode 2 accommodated in a stainless steel container 1 which also serves as a positive terminal of an organic solvent battery. As the electrolyte retainer 3, a polypropylene nonwoven fabric which is formed in a semi-film state by increasing force in a specified range by stages with it heated at a specified temperature for stretch treatment is sued. By decreasing the porosity of the nonwoven fabric, the contact between the contents of the battery is surely retained to the final stage of discharge and the high rate discharge performance is kept high.
