Added character for self-checking erroneous reading of goods label

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To automatically decide a correct reading or an erroneous reading by previously printing a calculated value using a sequence value assigned to respective used characters or the character of the sequence corresponding thereto and self-checking. CONSTITUTION:The sequence values are respectively properly assigned to the respective characters used for the goods label. At the time of printing the goods label, the sequence values of the used character are used to calculated according to a constant rule and the obtained value or the character of the sequence corresponding thereto is recorded together with a character string on the label. At the time of reading the goods label by an optical means, whether the respective characters are correctly read or not is self-checked by the use thereof. Thereby, a checking can be automatically executed.
