Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To efficiently execute communication by connecting two sets of communication controllers to a network per one communication node, so that even when one of them becomes faulty and has been switched to the other communication controller, an address of its communication node is not varied. CONSTITUTION:The titled system is provided with a communication data input/ output control part 1 for transmitting a test packet which has been constituted so that a transmission origin address and a transmission destination address both show the own station address, to a network prior to transmission and reception of the packet as a rule. Communication controllers Nn, Nn' provided with processing parts Mn, Mn' for executing waiting processing when said control part has received the test packet, and executing stationary processing immediately when the test packet has not been received, and a data input/output control part 4 for connecting an external data processor are connected to a network by two sets per one communication node. In such a way, even if one communication controller becomes faulty and is switched to the other communication controller, an address of the communication node is not changed, and communication can be efficiently executed.
