Disk cache control system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To minimize the capacity of a nonvolatile cache memory and to reduce the cost of a disk cache control system by writing data in both the nonvolatile cache memory and a nonvolatile write buffer and then writing data in a disk device from the write buffer in an idle time. CONSTITUTION:When a command analyzing part 1-3 decides an informed command as a write command, a data transfer part 1-4 writes the received data in a cache memory 1-1 and a write buffer 1-2 to complete write processing. The end of this write processing is informed to a write requester and then a disk control part 1-5 writes the data saved in the buffer 1-2 in a disk device. Thus data can be written at a high speed together with reduction of the cost in a disk cache control system.
