Manufacture of refrigerator door
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain high strength by closing the top opening of a container-like door body with a seal paper having a rigid reinforcing plate tacked to the lower face, pressing the seal paper projecting down to deform by foaming jigs and foaming urethane in the door body. CONSTITUTION: After injecting urethane through holes 4 of a seal paper 2, the door is held at the top and bottom with foaming jigs 22, 24 to foam the urethane with the seal paper pressed by protrusions 23 of the jig 22 until deformed to project down, causing a reinforcing plate 6 tacked through an adhesive tape 8 to the lower face of the paper 2 to be released from the paper 2 and separating from the paper 2 due to its own weight, resulting in a large space with the paper 2 at the periphery 7 of the plate 6. As foaming proceeds the inner space of the door is filled with rigid urethane foams 28 and hence the periphery 7 is automatically buried and set in the foams 28. Thus it is possible to make a high-strength refrigerator door, without machining the reinforcing plate and door body.
