Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming device providing an image editing function by controlling the driving of a latent image forming prevention means for preventing the formation of an image given from an image scanning means to an image carrier based on the specification information of an image area in an area specification means. CONSTITUTION:The titled device provides the area specification means 31a, 31b, 37a and 37b for specifying an optional image area S on the image display surface 30 of an image display part 23 on which a microfilm image 26 is displayed. And the driving of the latent image forming prevention means 22 for preventing the formation of the image given from the image scanning means 32 to the image carrier 4 is controlled based on the specification information of the image area S in the area specification means 31a, 31b, 37a and 37b. And editing printing is executed only in terms of the optional image area. Thus, the image forming device providing the image editing function can be obtained.
