Organic electrolyte battery using highly concentrated mixed solute
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make a battery compact by using a highly concentrated mixed solute electrolyte obtained by dissolving two or more lithium salts in an aprotic solvent. CONSTITUTION:A solution obtained by dissolving two or more lithium salts in an aprotic solvent so as to have a concentration of 1.5-4M. The content of the main lithium salt is limited to less than 95wt.% of the contents of the total lithium salts. The lithium salts are selected from LiClO4, LiBF4, LiB(CH3)4, LiB(C2H5)4, LiB(C6H5)4, LiPF6, and LiAsF6. Propylene carbonate, ethylene carbonate, sulfolane, dimethylethane, or a mixture of these compounds is used as the aprotic solvent. When a mixture of LiClO4 and IiBF4 is used as the solute, the weight ratio of LiClO4 to LiBF4 is 1:9-7:3, and the total concentration in the electrolyte is 1.5-3M.
