Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To easily apply recording to thick paper or a note, by manually moving an apparatus main body on a medium to be recorded and detecting the movement thereof to perform recording in correspondence to the image signal corresponding to the movement. CONSTITUTION:When an apparatus main body 4 is mounted on a medium to be recorded and manually moved, the moving quantity and moving speed of the apparatus main body are detected, for example, from the quantity of rotation and rotational speed of the first encoding plate 7 and a recording head D is driven corresponding to the detection result and the predetermined recording corresponding to an image signal is performed to the medium to be recorded. The moving direction of the apparatus main body is detected to display the detection result on a display part 25. An operator performs the correction of the moving direction while monitoring the display part to hold rectilinearity.
