Ultrasonic treatment utensil

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To finely control protruding quantity and to prevent the damage of the tissue in the body cavity, by providing an operating mechanism means for moving the first cover for covering an ultrasonic vibration part with respect to the second cover. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic treatment utensil 8 is connected to the channel port 6 of an endoscope 1 in a detachable manner by the connection part 11 as the second cover 2 connected to the first cover 1 in a freely advancing and retracting state. Usually, an operating part 10 is in a state forcibly separated by the energizing member mounted in the connection part 11 but, at the time of treatment, the endoscope 1 is grasped by a single hand and a finger hooking part 12 is operated by the thumb from such a state that the connection part 11 is grasped by the other hand to allow an ultrasonic wave transmitting part 9 to protrude from the leading end of the channel of the endoscope 1. By this method, the endoscope 1 and the ultrasonic treatment utensil 8 can be grasped by the same single hand and only the operating part 10 can be slid with respect to the connection part 11.
