Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To seal electric wires or connecting pins inserted into a connector by providing a gel layer practically preventing the gel from escaping from a container at the first and second positions and closing holes when the gel is compressed at the second position. CONSTITUTION: This article 2 is composed of a rectangular container 4, a base 6, and a gel layer 8, and two long side plates 10 of the rectangular container 4 are provided with two lines of fixing lips 16, 18 to be connected to a connector 24. The gel is not compressed at a first position where the lip 16 of the article 2 is engaged with the lip 28 of the connector 24, connecting pins 30 and following electric wires 32 pass through the holes 22 of the base 6 and are inserted into the holes 26 of the connector 24, and they are connected to coincidence connecting pins inserted from the other side. The gel layer 8 is compressed by about 80% to seal the following electric wires 32 at a second position where the lip 18 of the container 4 is engaged with the lip 28 of the connector 24 when they are pressed to each other.
