Two-dimensional contact type image sensor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To read an original without providing a special optical system, by irradiating the original through a window part provided on respective photodetectors to be arrayed in plural numbers in vertical and horizontal directions and allowing the reflected light to be directly incident on the photodetectors. CONSTITUTION:A conductive light-shielding film 26 is provided on a light- transmitting character insulating substrate 25, and a light-conducting window 27 is formed to the light-shielding film 26. A light-receiving layer 36 is formed on the light-shielding film 26, and an upper electrode 37 is provided on the light-receiving layer 36. A light receiving part 38 is composed of the light- interrupting film 26, the light-receiving layer 36 and the upper electrode 37. An original 41 is mounted on a transparent protecting layer 40, a light 42 incident through the light-conducting window 27 is projected to the original 41, and a reflected light 43 of it is made incident on the light-receiving part 38.
