Bar code reader
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To strengthen the prevention of duplicated reading when the condition, in which the number of the bar codes is less than that stored in a memory, continues for a prescribed time, by providing a first means to store the analysis result after the decoding processing of the bar code and a second means to store the number of the decoded bar codes. CONSTITUTION:Bar width information is changed to an electric signal by a converter 1 composed of a CCD image sensor 11, converted into numeric value data by a converting circuit 2 to make built-in an amplifying circuit 21 and a floating binarizing circuit 22, and stored into a memory 3 consisting of a memory part 31. Next, a microprocessor 4 decodes the numeric value data stored in the memory 3, an instruction from the memory operates a timing generating circuit 14, accesses the sensor 11, and an address control circuit 32 accesses the memory part 31. The reflected light of a bar code label 5 irradiated by a LED 13 is inputted to the sensor 11. Thus, when the number of the bar stored in the processor 4 is different from that detected, a re-processing is performed, and restoration is not attained even at such a time, processing proceeds to the other code.
