Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a yarn that comprises wool having fine powder particles of far-infrared ray radiator enclosed therein emitting electromagnetic waves in a specific wavelength range at ambient temperature, and is used as garment or night clothe and manifests a promoting effect on blood circulation and the metabolism of a wearer. CONSTITUTION: The surface scales of wool fibers constituting the yarn are swollen and the fibers are dipped in an aqueous dispersion of fine powdery particles that emits far-infrared rays of 3-14 μm wavelength and the powder particles are enclosed in the fibers in no need of a specific adhesive. A garment prepared from the yarns made of the wool fibers including the fine powder allows a wearer to absorb the electromagnetic waves into his/her body to promote the ionization in the body to warm the body from the body core and stimulate the blood circulation and the metabolism.
