Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To efficiently utilize an antenna aperture and to improve a data rate by simultaneously forming the plural numbers of beams and directionally forming them in the arbitrary direction of all directions. CONSTITUTION:A beam 10 is formed respectively to the three numbers of antenna element groups to divide the plural numbers of antenna elements 1-1-1-N into three. Since a control means 7 suitably controls three switch matrixes 4-1-4-3, plural switches 3-1-3-N and plural phase shifters 2-1-2-N respectively one beam can be formed by a first antenna element group. Two beams can be formed by the first and second antenna element group and three beams can be formed by the first, second and third antenna element groups. These beams can be directionally formed in the arbitrary direction of all directions. Thus, the antenna aperture can be efficiently utilized and the data rate can be improved.
