Electrophotographic sensitive body
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a support high in dimensional accuracy, long in service life, and good in adhesion to an electrically conductive layer by forming a seamless belt made of a specified biaxially stretched thermoplastic polyester resin as the support. CONSTITUTION:The support of an electrophotographic sensitive body on which the conductive layer and a photosensitive layer are formed is a seamless belt made of the biaxially stretched thermoplastic polyester resin having a dry heat shrinkage rate of <=2% at 80 deg.C and an elongation at rupture of <=95% in the traveling direction, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive belt to ensure stability in traveling, and remarkably reduced in deterioration of the life caused by breaking due to shrinkage during traveling, and abrasion damage due to occurrence of cracks on the photosensitive belt, and simplification of the apparatus and its reliability to be enhanced by unnecessitating a seaming position controlling function.
