Surface wave device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To attain sealing with high air-tightness inexpensively by using a thermoplastic resin having an insulation for an outer package member so as to eliminate the production of metallic chip thereby sealing uniformly by the piezoelectric substance. CONSTITUTION:An input electrode pair 2 made of interdigital electrode teeth, an earth electrode 4, an output electrode pair 3 comprising a comb-line electrode tooth and a piezoelectric substance 1 formed with an absorbing member 5 are adhered onto a terminal 10 and the prescribed terminal 10 and the electrodes 2, 3, 4 on the piezoelectric substance 1 are connected by wires 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d and 8e. Then the entire constitution is packed by a packing member 11 made of a thermoplastic resin such as epoxy resin and the curing condition of the temperature and pressure is operated to form a gap of several microns or over between the electrode pairs 2, 3, the earth electrode 4 and the package member 11 thereby forming the constitution not hindering the excitation, propagation and reception of a surface elastic wave.
