Liquid crystal display element
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate instability of contact of an electrode terminal with a lead pin terminal of a liquid crystal display element due to a stress generated by the warp of a substrate in a stage of soldering the electrode terminal to a driving circuit substrate by connecting the electrode terminal to a lead pin terminal which has been worked by forming. CONSTITUTION: Two glass plates 1a, 1b are held at a fixed distance with a sealing resin 2, and liquid crystals 3 are sealed between the glass plates. A lead pin terminal 9 which has been worked by forming is connected to a transparent electrode 5 formed on an outgoing electrode terminal 4, and the lead pin terminal 9 is fixed with a resin 8. By this constitution, spring characteristic is imparted to the lead pin terminal 9, so a stress generated by the warp of the substrate due to soldering of the lead pin terminal to the driving circuit substrate is absorbed by the lead pin terminal 9, and the contact between the electrode terminal 4 of a liquid crystal display element and the lead pin terminal 9 is stabilized.
