Manufacture of permanent magnet of anisotropic oxide
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent permanent magnet of anisotropic oxide having magnetic characteristics matching with various uses, by performing baking in an atmosphere of oxygen partial pressure adjusted in the manner in which the atmosphere in a baking furnace corresponds with desired magnetic characteristics. CONSTITUTION:Slurry made by mixing necessary additive in oxide magnetic fine powder is subjected to pressure molding in magnetic field. The obtained pressure-molded body is baked at a specific temperature. The baking is performed by keeping an oxygen partial pressure adjusted in the manner in which the atmosphere in a baking furnace corresponds with desired magnetic characteristics. When the oxygen partial pressure in the baking atmosphere becomes smaller than the atmospheric pressure, the density of a baked body increases, and the coercive force BHc decreases. Thereby, an excellent permanent magnet of anisotropic oxide having magnetic characteristics matching with various uses can be obtained.
