Distortion generation circuit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a distortion generation circuit capable of performing the distortion correction of an amplifier stably, by performing the feedback control of a variable gain amplifier based on a signal level in which distortion is generated. CONSTITUTION:The output signal of the amplifier 9 is detected by a detector 10, and the gain of the variable gain amplifier 8 is controlled by a voltage in which a detected voltage is inversely amplified by a DC inversion amplifier 11. Thereby. change at the operating point of a non-linear device due to a temperature change is generated in a tertiary distortion generator 5, and even when a distortion level outputted from the generator fluctuates, it is possible to vary the input level of the tertiary distortion generator 5 corresponding to the above fluctuation, and to keep its outputted tertiary distortion signal level constant. In such a way, it follows that a temperature compensation function is provided in the distortion generation circuit, and a constant level of distortion can be kept in spite of the temperature change. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the distortion generation circuit capable of performing the distortion correction of the amplifier stably.
