Electrophoretic separation used with supercritical fluid extraction
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To perform efficient extraction and separation by providing an electrophoretic column to the downstream side of a supercritical extraction tank and passing fluid contg. charged components between an anode and a cathode in the stage reaching a fluid region from the state of supercritical fluid. CONSTITUTION:Liquefied carbon dioxide is pressurized with a pressurization pump 4 and heated with a heater 5 and made to a supercritical state and this carbon dioxide is brought into contact with an amino acid culture soln. fed from a raw material tank 7 into an extraction tank 6 to perform extraction. Then the supercritical carbon dioxide contg. extracted substance is fed to an electrophoretic column 11 pressure-controlled by a back-pressure valve 10 and the positive charged component is transferred to a cathode side and the negative charged component is transferred to an anode side by the electric field impressed between the anode and the cathode, and these are separated and taken out through respective take out valves 12, 13.
