Dummy data and normal data transmission/reception system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To simultaneously check the error on a communication, as well line by generating several errors decided between transmission/reception parties in advance consciously to a transmission data in advance subjected to error correction coding at a transmission side and checking the number of errors at the reception side so as to distinguish the dummy data and normal data, thereby using the error correction code. CONSTITUTION:A transmission data 11 is coded from an error correction coding means 1 at the transmission side is coded by using an error correction code and when a dummy data is transmitted at the transmission side, an error provision means 2 gives an error consciously. The error number to be given is kept within the capability of error correction of an error correction code or within the capability detecting error number, thereby avoiding the error from being given in transmitting the normal data. The transmission data from the transmission side is received by an error number check means 3 via a transmission line from the transmission side and the given error number is checked. Then the dummy data and the normal data are identified by a dummy data/normal data identification means 4.
