Manufacture of rare earth alloy magnet
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the magnetic anisotropy of an alloy magnet, by occluding hydrogen in an alloy formed of an assembly of R-T-M microcrystals in an oriented magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:Hydrogen is occluded in an alloy formed of an assembly of R-T-M microcrystals (wherein R is a rare earth element, T is a transition metal, in which Fe is an essential component and one or more kinds of Zr, Nb, Ti, V, Hf and Ta can be further included, and M is a half metal, wherein B is an essential component) in an oriented magnetic field. Thus the grain boundary is moved in the direction of the magnetic field. The microcrystals, wherein the axis of easy magnetization is directed in the direction of the magnetic field in parallel, are increased. In this way, the magnetic anisotropy in the direction of the magnetic field can be improved.
