Presser pressing cartridge for material testing machine

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make a presser pressing cartridge of a material testing machine compact in size and light in weight, by providing in a casing member of the cartridge a pressing member, a first spring which biases the pressing member, a releasing member for obstructing or releasing the pressing operation of the pressing member and a second spring which biases the releasing member. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge 41 for pressing a presser includes a casing member 43 having a surface portion formed with a through-hole 47, and a pressing member 51 for pressing a presser placed movably in a first direction, namely, in a projecting direction out of the casing member 43 through within the through-hole 47 and in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The through-hole 47 passes through the pressing member 51. Moreover, the cartridge 41 has a spring 56 placed within the casing member 43 and biasing the pressing member 51 in the first direction. Further, the cartridge 41 is provided with a releasing member 61 for obstructing and releasing the pressing operation of the pressing member 51, and a spring 68 in the casing member 43 for biasing the releasing member 61 in the second direction. The releasing member 61 which is placed movably in the first and second directions within the casing member 43 is engaged with the pressing member 51 upon actuation thereof in the second direction.
