Data controller for rds receiver

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous correction of data and taking-in of erroneous correction data by inhibiting taking-in of data in case of the signal level of a reception broadcast wave lower than a first set level and inhibiting error correction in case of the signal level lower than a second set level higher than the first set level. CONSTITUTION:A level detecting circuit 18 has the first set level corresponding to the signal level of the reception broadcast wave and the second set level higher than the first set level. When the first detection output is generated, supply of demodulated data and a clock to a group and block synchronizing and error detecting circuit 12 is stopped. Then, data is inhibited from being taken into a controller 14. When the second detection output is generated, error correction is inhibited and only error detection is performed. Data subjected to error detection is taken into the controller 14 or is abandoned in accordance with data contents.
