Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To detect the degradation in reception state by counting the number of times of clock sinchronizing step-out or block sinchronizing step-out within a prescribed time and detecting that the counted value exceeds a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:Unless a timer to which a set time T is preliminarily set expires, a processor monitors the clock synchronizing step-out signal outputted from a decoder 9 to discriminate whether the synchronizing step-out occurs or not. When said timer is over, the processor sets this timer and discriminates whether the counted value of the synchronizing step-out counter exceeds the prescribed value or not; and if it exceeds the prescribed value, it is judged that the reception state of a broadcast station from which a wave is received at present is degraded by the reduction of the signal intensity (level) of the reception broadcast wave or the disturbance such as multipath disturbance.
