Time division multiplexor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To change the content of a control memory without instantaneous interruption by bisecting the area of a control memory, utilizing one for talking and switching the area in timing coincident with the readout timing of the control memory after change of the content of the other area. CONSTITUTION:A channel management device 30 is provided in common on control memory rewrite controllers 15, 25 of duplexed time-division multiplex channels. When a change request of channel constitution comes from the channel management device 30, the control memory rewrite controllers 15, 25 start independently the rewrite of the common memories 14, 24. The control memories 14, 24 have respectively two independent memory areas and while the talking is continued depending on the content of the one area, the content of the other area is rewritten. When the content rewrite of the control memories 14, 24 is finished, the one area is switched into the other area synchronously with the readout timing of the control memories 14, 24.
