Reflective shade for lighting appliance

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the effect of a connecting structure on a reflection characteristic and to improve rigidity by connecting a central reflector to side reflectors on the outside of a lamp storage recess, and folding their tips for reinforcement. CONSTITUTION: A connecting edge 17 over the whole length in the longitudinal direction is formed on the upper edges of inside reflector sections 13a of a lamp storage recess 16 on side reflectors 13. The extension sections 19 of both side edges 15 of a central reflector 12 are overlapped on the connecting edge 17, and they are connected by connecting tools such as blind rivets at prescribed intervals. Coupling edges 21 at the tips of the extension sections 19 are folded at the angle of 90 deg. or below to cover the tip of the connecting edge 17. Connecting portions are located on the outside of the recess 16, a connecting structure little affects a reflection characteristic, and the whole rigidity is increased.
