Method for controlling flux feeding of flux cored wire

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To stabilize the flux filling ratio inside a wire by feeding a flux to the groove part of a strip hoop of specific sectional shape and adjusting the flux set feeding amt. by the feeding layer thickness obtd. by measuring from a reference position the distance from the upper part before and after flux feeding. CONSTITUTION:In case of charging a flux 1 to a groove like hoop 3 from a flux feeding device 6, a microwave 5 is projected by a distance measuring instrument 4a prior to the input and the distance A between the measuring instrument and the surface of the hoop is measured. A measuring wave 8 is then projected by a distance measuring instrument 4b by charging the flux to measure the distance B with the flux surface similarly. And from the found layer thickness before and after the flux charge and the stipulated width dimension of the groove bottom part of the set forming dimension a flux inputting area is operated by a control system. The flux filling ratio inside the flux cored wire can thus be stabilized.
