Horizontal type rotary compressor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate generation of any noise so as to need no more expensive motor in the compressor in the caption by communicating a chamber defined by the eccentric portion of a shaft and a roller to a space within a closed container through a communicating hole provided in a side housing. CONSTITUTION: A motor 4 comprising a stator 2 and a rotator 3 and a compressor 15 are accommodated within a closed container 1. A chamber 33 defined by the eccentric portion 7 of a shaft 6 and a roller 12 is communicated with a space 16 within the closed container through a communicating hole 34 provided in a side housing 11. Because, the pressure in the space of the closed container and the pressure in a compression chamber are balanced with each other in an extremely short time in this manner, any noise produced by the oil compression may not occur and any expensive motor with good starting performance is no more required.
