Developer agitation device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the flow passage resistance of a developer and to make its flow smooth by providing slanting plates which slant in the opposite direction from the developer moving direction of a paddle roller between a partition plate and the paddle roller. CONSTITUTION:A nap cutting member 4 which is arranged above a magnetic roller 3 for scooping up a developer and shunts the scooped-up developer 30 and the partition plate which is arranged above the magnetic roller 3 and paddle roller 2 and allows the shunt developer 30 to flow down are included, and the slanting plates 6-11 which slant in the opposite direction from the developer moving direction of the paddle roller 2 are provided between the partition plate 5 and paddle roller 2. Invariably vertical force operates on the developer 30 which falls down on the partition plate 5 and is larger than when the slanting plates 6-11 are provided on the surface of the partition plate 5. Consequently, the flow passage resistance of the developer is reduced and its flow becomes smooth.
