Sheet after-processor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent a stapler from becoming out of order due to a bin having been struck without sheets on and a staple having been jammed by providing an inspecting means which inspects sheets stored on a bin where the stapler operates. CONSTITUTION:Sheets S are inspected by means of a sheet presence inspecting sensor 73 through the passing of an angle portion on this side of the rear end of sheets S. And, when a signal indicating the presence of sheets S is received from the sensor 73, a microcomputer drives a drive motor 61 and sheets S on a bin are stapled by means of a stapler 60, and after the completion of stapling, the stapler 60 is returned to an evacuation position. Then, the computer rotates a lead cam by means of the drive motor and bins 10 are raised step by step, and sheets S stored on a bin 10 at the second step which is located at a stapling position are stapled by the stapler 60 after having been confirmed by means of the sheet presence inspecting sensor 73.
