Connecting method for brittle superconductor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage or removal at a connecting terminal section and connect a brittle superconductor with high reliability by enveloping the major portion around the end of the brittle superconductor with a high- malleability metal, putting a metal with higher hardness on its outside, and fastening the connecting terminal. CONSTITUTION:The major portion around the end of a brittle superconductor 1 is enveloped with a high-malleability metal 2, a metal 3 with higher hardness is put on its outside, a connecting terminal is fastened, the concentrated stress is prevented, the heterogeneous excessive change is prevented, and they are fixed. The brittle superconductor 1 is liable to be broken or chipped and weak against the concentrated stress in particular, but when a relatively soft metal with high malleability is put around it and its outside is fastened with a hard metal, the concentrated stress is distributed, and the connection is prevented from being loosened for a long time.
