Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To simplify the composition of the control device in the title and reduce its cost by providing a single variable resistance of idling adjustment and adjusting an air fuel ratio and the idle running speed near the idle running condition based on that output data. CONSTITUTION: A variable resistance A for idling adjustment is provided in a control unit for engine control and output data of this variable resistance A are memorized in a memory means B. An air fuel ratio correcting means C which can correct an air fuel ratio set in response to the engine running status is provided for getting an actual air fuel ratio controlled by a control means D based on a corrected air fuel ratio. Furthermore, a running speed correcting means E which can correct the target idle running speed set in response to the engine running status is provided for getting an actual idle running speed controlled by a control means F based on the corrected target idle running speed. At this time, the output of the variable resistance A is sent out to either one of respective correction means C, E and data of the memory means B are sent out to other one by a switching means G.
