Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the total number of bogies and cost by rotatably supporting one end of a base frame by a bolsterless bogie while rotatably supporting the other end of the base frame by a spherical fitting part provided on the upper part of the supported part by the bolsterless bogie of an adjacent base frame. CONSTITUTION:Connecting bolsterless bogies 2 are provided in the connecting parts of a train 1 while providing a bolsterless bogie 2a on each front and rear side of the train 1, and each bogie is installed on the track beam 3 of a straddled type monorail. The connecting bolsterless bogie 2 consists of traveling wheels 8, a bogie frame 9, guide wheels 10, safety wheels 11, air springs 4, and a body supporting device 17. A base frame 5 of each of the train cars 1 is directly supported by the air springs 4 and body supporting device 17 while the other base frame 7 is engaged with and rotatably supported by a body joining part 6 provided on the base frame 5. The body joining part 6 is formed so as to fit a spherical fitting part provided on the lower part of the base frame 7 to a spherical fitting part provided on the base frame 5.
