Select signal system setting device of communication controller

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for troublesome operation and to facilitate the operation by providing a communication controller with a device which sets a select signal system automatically. CONSTITUTION: A network controller 1 closes a DC loop to connect the circuit of this communication controller to a telephone line. Consequently, a dial tone signal is sent back from the telephone line side and a tone detecting means 4 detects it. When this answer is detected, select signals set previously in respective select signal generating means 2a∼2n are tested in order and the tone detecting means 4 sets a select signal system where there is no dial tone automatically as a select signal system to be used. Consequently, it is not necessary to make settings so that artificial adaption to the select signal system is performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
