Production of high tensile non-oriented electrical steel sheet
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To produce a high tensile non-oriented electrical steel sheet by hot rolling a steel slab having a specific compsn. and subjecting the steel sheet to cooling, coiling and decarburization annealing under specific conditions, then cold rolling the steel sheet to the final sheet thickness and subjecting the sheet to final finish annealing. CONSTITUTION: The steel slab contg., by weight %, 0.01W0.10% C, 2.0W3.5% Si, 0.1W10.0% Mn, <0.20% P, 0.03W1.50% Al, or further 1 or ≥2 kinds among <6.0% Ni, <5.0% Cr, <5.0% Mo, and <0.40% Cu is hot rolled to a sheet material. The sheet is cooled at ≥800°C/min average cooling rate from the hot finish rolling to the coiling in this case and is coiled at ≤600°C. This hot rolled sheet or the semi-finished sheet during the course of the cold rolling is subjected to decarburization annealing at 600W1,000°C to decrease the carbon to about 0.0035% C; thereafter, the sheet is cold rolled and is annealed for 5secW15min at 700W900°C, by which the non-oriented electrical steel sheet having the excellent strength, wear resistance and magnetic characteristics is produced.
