Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To suppress the consumption of a battery by equipping a control means to decrease a recording power supplied to a recording device when the battery is being selected in a device to use an external power source or the battery. CONSTITUTION:In a power source selecting switch 18, the voltage signal of a logical H level is impressed to a contact connected when a power source device 13 is being selected and the voltage signal of a logical L level is impressed to a contact connected when a battery 17 is being selected. Thus, a system control part 11 can know either of the power source device 13 or the battery 17 is selected. The control part 11 makes a power setting signal DL to a plotter 4 in the logical H level or the logical L level according to the selection of the power source device 13 or the battery 17. Thus, the plotter 4 records a received image with maximum density in the case of the logical H level and records it with the low density of a readable extent in case of the logical L level.
