Optical parallel transmission equipment
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive optical parallel transmission equipment with high reliability by injecting a synchronizing clock subject to photoelectric conversion as a trigger current of a bistable component, and obtaining a synchronized output by the bistable operation. CONSTITUTION:Each data and synchronizing clock from a transmission section 101 goes to an optical signal via electrooptic conversion circuits 1031-103N+1 and led to an optical parallel transmission equipment (repeater) 111 via optical fibers 1041-104N+1. The optical signal from the fibers 1041-104N in the equipment 111 is led to bistable semiconductor lasers 1051-105N, while the optical synchronizing clock signal from the fiber 105N+1 is subject to photoelectric conversion, amplified for a broad and the result goes to a synchronizing clock 109. The clock 109 is injected to the lasers 1051-105N as the trigger current. Thus, the skew of each data and the dispersion of delay between data are absorbed by the bistable operation of the lasers 1051-105N, and a data signal being synchronized with a synchronizing clock and identified/recovered is outputted from the equipment 111.
