Method for removing dust stuck on discharge wire of electrostatic precipitator
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To remove the dust stuck on a discharge wire by inserting two adja cent discharge wires into both grooves of a jig provided with grooved having a diameter larger than that of the discharge wire at both its ends and lowering the jig from the upper part of the discharge wire toward the lower part thereof. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a dust-removing jig 1 provided with the grooves having the diameter a little larger than that of the discharge wire 2 stretched vertically at both ends of the jig and a hook 4 for hanging the jig. The jig 1 is set so that two adjacent discharge wires 2 are fitted into both grooved 3 of the jig 1 and descends by its own weight when an operator pays out a rope 6 engaged with the hook 4. At this time, the dust 5 stuck on the discharge wire 2 is scraped off by the jig 1. No trouble is caused regarding insulation deterioration and abrasion of discharge wire by this method and dust-removing operation also can be carried out inexpensively.
