Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To form a contraction part with excellent appearance by positioning prepared leather or the like by a position adjusted position controller, holding it at the position by a holding means and then simultaneously driving a plurality of position adjusted pawls from a retreat position to an advance position by a pawl driving means. CONSTITUTION: In the state of holding the leather R and a core material C at a prescribed position by the holding means 1, compressed air is supplied to the cylinder 32 of the pawl driving means 4 and the pawl 3 is driven to the advance position. Then, the edge part of the leather R is folded over to the back surface of the core material C and adhered by an adhesive material or a tacky adhesive agent. The folded- over edge part of the leather R is clamped between the pawl 3 and a pawl receiver 6 and so-called press-molded and wrinkles wrinkled with accurately uniform pitches are formed. Thereafter, the cylinder 32 of the pawl driving means 4 is de-pressurized and the pawl 3 is moved back to the retreat position by a return spring 35. Then, after supplying the compressed air to the cylinders 14 and 43 of a pawl receiver driving means 7 and driving the pawl receiver 6 to the retreat position, the cylinder device 11 of the holding means 1 is de-pressurized, a pressing metal fitting 17 is elevated and a work is taken out.
