Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve a stability aud a crosstalk by executing the multiplex and the division of the information of each channel and using one light-emitting element at the input side of an exchanging device and one light-receiving element at an output side for an optical element. CONSTITUTION:The device includes modulators 1011-10120 to modulate plural electric data signals by the sub-carrier signal of a different frequency, an adder circuit 107 to add plural output signals from the modulators 1011-10120, an electric-optical convertor 109 to convert the electric output signal from the adder circuit 107 to an optical signal, an optical-electric convertor 111 to convert an optical signal to an electric signal, and demodulators 1151-11520 to demodulate plural modulating signals modulated by a different sub-carrier signal which is the output of the optical-electric convertor 111. By switching the frequency of the sub-carrier signal inputted to the modulators 1011-10120, an electric data signal is exchanged. Thus, the optical exchanging device having a low cross-talk, a low price and a high stability can be obtained.
